It’s a war where combatants sometimes donned women’s wigs, pantyhose, even Donald Duck Halloween masks before committing some of the world’s worse atrocities against their enemies. It’s the only that hosts a unit of soldiers who strip off their clothes before going into the battle and called itself “the Butt Naked Brigade”. It’s a war where young child soldiers carry teddy bears and plastic baby dolls in one hand and AK-47 in the other. It’s a war were fighters smear their faces with makeup and mud in the believe that “juju”, West Africa magic, will protect them from the enemy bullets..”

Esta semana comenzó el juicio contra Charles Taylor, ex-presidente de Liberia y antiguo Wardlord de todo África del oeste. El juicio se lleva a cabo en Europa y cuesta nada menos que 98 millones de dólares que pagamos todos nosotros, bueno, uno puede pensar que es primer juicio de este tipo contra un Wardlord y puede servir de ejemplo para todo África, pero es demasiado dinero con el cual se pueden hacer demasiadas cosas y por eso no puedo justificarlo y hasta me irrita más todavía. Los cargos son interminables, casi todos crímenes de lesa humanidad y corrupción. Les dejo un desagradable video donde podrán tener una idea un poco más precisa acerca como es una guerra civil, los niños soldados disfrazados, las torturas, el canibalismo; Todo explicado por el mismísimo Taylor.
